Alberto Gonzales should have been fired long ago. His behavior in the current scandal--not to mention the illegal wire-tapping scandal--is a disgrace to his position as protector of the American system of justice. It is clear that we are dangerously close to slipping into a totalitarian state, where the rule of law is simply ignored. To restore faith in our government, Bush must fire Gonzales now. Today.
