Ford Opposed Iraq War

Now it comes out. Former President Gerald Ford told Bob Woodward in an interview in 2004 that he was opposed to George Bush’s justification for the war. It’s a revealing interview. What I don’t understand is why Ford kept silent while thousands of Americans and tens of thousands of Iraqis were being killed because of Bush’s incredible mistake? If he had spoken out, or allowed Woodward to release the interview before Ford’s death, maybe some of this could have been avoided. Nah, Bush doesn’t listen. It wouldn’t have made a difference. Ford probably knew that.
